Calla Lily (Zantedeschia) isn't hardy through most of the U.S. (USDA hardiness zones 9-10). It should be lifted before severe frost. They should be dried and stored in a cool dry place.

As for your roses... prune them in the Spring. In Zone 5 (southern Michigan) I prune my roses when the Forsythia blooms. Prune your roses when the earliest blooming tree or shrub blooms. That's a visual indicator that the weather is turning.

I hope that this helps
Good luck-

i live in georgia and never have dug mine up. they were transplants when i got them. i made sure to plant the bulbs below our "frostline" which is supposedly 10 inches or so, and every year they come back with a vengeance. i end up giving lots of them away and moving some of them to other areas making new beds. they are really stout plants as far as i can tell.. if i were you, since you get more snow than us, as long as they are planted around 10-12 inches deep i wouldnt worry about diggin them up.

It depends on where you live. Check at Lowe's or Home Depot, or call a local nursery.
You should twist or cut the dead blooms off as the blooms die. You should trim them after they have stopped blooming.

In NY the answer is yes. They are not hardy in NY. Store them in a cool place and replant in the late spring.

You need to seperate them and plant them again. More bulbs will bud off, and they need the room to grow healthy and look pretty.
