She would thank Jesus each time the phone rang.. before she picked it up. She would also thank Jesus for meals, finding her lost keys, after meeting minutes were read etc.. It was really starting to get annoying and people made fun of her. So I took your advice and spoke to her. Now she says I am "the devil." When she sees me she says "Jesus please pray for (insert my name.) It getting really out of control. Should I just quit? My boss doesn't seem to care much...

Most states have laws against religion in the workplace. I would just start saying things like: "praise the Lord (of the underworld) Devil, Satan, etc. I had a co-worker who would pour vegetable oil on the floor (to "anoint" for other people's sins- like cursing). So one day I noticed this, and pretended to slip and fall. I then told my boss that I would put in a complaint and probably sue- she was told to stop after that.

WHAT IN THE WORLD !?

Look, I'm a Christian and I'm all for praising God. However, what she's doing is wrong. You're the DEVIL?!

Not only is that hateful, it's illegal for her to be doing in the workplace. What's more, it's illegal for the boss to ignore the situation. If it's gotten to the point that you're considering leaving the work place, the lady, AND the boss have made it a hostile work environment. It's time for you to go up in the ranks and have something done. If nothing is done about it, or if your boss is as high as you can go, it's time to get an attorney. You have several viable law suits there.

You shouldn't be in this position as and employee, or as a person. As Christians, our main goal is to be Christlike so that other people will want to follow suit and become Christians too. She is certainly NOT going about this the right way.

Good luck !!

Grasshopper - you must bend in the wind...

Use what appear to be your disadvantages to your advantage. In other words, if she thinks you are the devil - give her what she wants. You know - sport a few pentagrams and upside-down crosses at your desk. Tell her that her god cannot save her form you - any more than he has saved anyone else... Have fun with it. You have the real advantage as you are not a zealot. If you want, you can truly mess with her mind. Like after she gets a phone call and utters her phrase, STARE at her until she asks what you are looking at. Then tell her that she said "praise Satan." Stand your ground on this and it will make her crazy.

I wouldn't quit a job that i otherwise liked because of one crazy person because all jobs have at least one. Some are crazier than others and at some jobs all are crazy. I used to work with some annoying people and i became determined to outlast them and i did. so the answer is run her off.

Hahaha. You should be laughing at her. Next time she calls you the devil tell her you prefer the term EL DIABLO. Hang up a poster of Ozzy Osbourne for her to see, maybe a pentagram or two.
