The pain has gotten so bad I can't bare it. Sometimes I just feel like giving up myself so I don't have to deal with it. Does it ever get better? I never loved anyone so much and I feel like there's no hope and nothing to live for anymore..

There is hope! The pain will lessen over time, it wont go away completely though. But you can learn to live with it (if you want to).

By giving yourself up, you are not really changing anything for the better and i'm sure your friend wouldnt like it if you give yourself up too.

Try to concentrate on work and other things for a while and find a grief counselor or a group with which you can work through your grief.

All the best and lots of strenght! It will get better!

The best thing to do right now is see your doctor, he or she will evaluate your sitution. You might need to be on depression pills for a little bit until your body can handle the situation by yourself. There is nothing wrong with using medication if you need it and don't depend on it on a later date. Keep your other friends and family close, that will help a lot. The pain does get easier, just be strong.

Its been said that it takes up to 5 years to be ok enough to except a death with someone close to you. Take how you feel and imagine what your other friends and family would go through if they lost you too. Life is about hard times and good times..If you cant get through your best friends death and you end it then your friend cant live through you..you have to stay strong and take all the good from your friend and apply it to your life. Im so sorry but hold your head up..you have to.

My best friend just passed away in June and i am still trying to get over the fact the she is never going to call, or we are never going to go out ever again, but i keep trying to tell myself that it was her time. which it was her time to go. NO, the pain will never go away. just like you will never forget that person but you can hold on to the wonderful memories that yall shared and things that you have learned from that person.

Im soo sorry. I know how you feel though, my best friend (a guy) passed away last year-he was supposed to graduate with me...and he didnt even make it. It does hurt, and there will always be that hole in your heart that is painful, but thats how you know that they still care for you, and are still with you. No matter how hard you try to make the pain go away....always remember that your friend is still with you...and always will be.

i'm sorry to hear that.. but i agree, remember life..and the memories. Not quite sure if it goes away, but it does get better over time. Take your time to greive your loss. my dad died when i was 14, i'm 23 now. Some how or the other you find the strength to wake up and carry on, take comfort in family and friends and pets.

Not really. It dulls over time, and you learn to isolate it, work around it.

It gets better, and there's always something to live for, but it is a bit hard to see at times when the pain is fresh.
