the equation should be
x^2/a^2-y^2/b^2=1

The second one. Remember that for the first one to get Y=..... you need to take the square root and the graph of a square root function is not a hyperbola but the equation of 1/x is. So its #2.

Well actually none of these are actual parabalas. You need a square to have a parabola.
