when i am home and cannot get away and my house is noisy i take a load of laundry and a good book and go to the basement and stay there for as long as i can. if i can leave i go to the pond close to my house and relax while i watch the water fountains.

I go hiking once a month early in the morning to any number of spots in the local mtns above Los Angeles.. It's very peaceful and being a nature boy, I feel right at home.

I go to a dodgeball tournament. I find violence commited on others most relaxing.
But seriously, under the stairs with the dog, a good book and a flashlight.

Usually the toilet. That's about the only place that I can get any peace and quiet. (unless my belly is rumbling)

In Austin i go to Mt. Bonnell. It has a great view of the city and if you find the right spot you won't be bothered

The bookstore and have some hot tea and find some inspiration books to read that are uplifting and take in the scenery also.

I usually drive to a downtown park at night. Even if I have to sit in the car. It works wonders for me.

you should try to go to a park or to the library or you can go to barns and nobles and drink a starbucks. My husband loves to go get a starbucks and read a book at barns and nobles.
