Yeah it is real, some people have a very drama filled life, but MTV takes the best clips from all the filming they did too.

The Hills was real. It followed Laguna Beach star Lauren Conrad to LA, and her journy thorugh college, life, etc. It was not set up.

Good question, as i always wondered that about Laguna Beach as you can always kinda guess whats going to happen. As i cant belive that would happen to people in real life!
