Try running bath water as hot as you can get it, sit in the bathroom with your son...the steam will help clear up his chest. However, I would highly recommend you take him to his pediatrician. Good luck!

Take him to the Dr.
My daughter had the same thing about two weeks ago and it turned out to be bronchitis and she is still on a nebulizer four times a day for it. The Dr. told us it can easily turn to pneumonia and then she would be hospitalized.
Good luck to you and I hope your little boy gets better soon :)

You can't give him cough medicine at his age. If you call his Dr. they will probably tell you to put Baby Vicks on his chest and heep him near a vaporizer. I think Huggies also makes a special soap that you can put in his bath to relax him and open up his breathing.
Good luck. Its always sad seeing such a little person feeling sick :-(

Good time to buy a humidifer. You will need one with a little one around. You can also run a hot shower and sit in the bathroom with your son for about 10 minutes. This will help break it up.
Consult his doctor if you feel he needs extra care.
Good luck

At five weeks old you shouldnt be giving him anything even childrens vapor rub without permission of the doctor. Call the doctor right away. He should be able to tell you if he needs to be seen over the phone or he will tell you to bring him in.

He could have croup, try standingin the shower with him or taking him outside for some cold air. If that doesnt help take him to the doctors. Good Luck!!!

The best thing to do is probably bring your son to your pediatrician because his condition may be caused by a lot of things, some may be colds, allergies, or god-forbid, something even worse. or you could try using a nebulizer on your kid or a humidifier to help relieve his discomfort. but i still suggest you bring him to a pediatrician as soon as you can

You'll be having your six month check up soon, I'd tell the doctor. My daughter had a similar problem when she was about that age. It was no big deal, they gave her some kind of steriod and it went away.

Go to the doctor - could be croup - but don't take chance that it could be something awful like pneumonia or RVS. At that sweet age only a doctor can speak for him.

If he's maybe sick, I would talk to your doctor, but we were told to give him like 1/4 of a serving of what it says on like children's allergy medicine, because that clears up mucous. Even just go to your closest drugstore and talk to the pharmacist. They give excellent advice.
