Well I'm not an animal activist but I try to treat all creatures well. When we have spiders or whatever in the house, they are carried jout into the garden and set free. Cockroaches....never had these...but would get someone else to take them a long long way away!

Ants....no boiling water, that's for sure!! Or Ant powder. Just put a little spec of jam off in the direction I want them to go.

I try my best to put them outside. The other night I found a young centipede on my bathroom floor and I really had to fight against the urge to smash him. But when I was watching as I tried to get him on to a piece of paper to put him outside I gained a new respect. I just watched the way he ran around on the floor with all those finely made legs pulsating rhythmically, and I found that I really admired him, and even found some beauty there. Plus, they're really all fascinating creatures, and I think that trying to rescue them like this gives us a chance to get close to them and really see what and who they are. Even though they may make us wince, we have nothing to fear from them. They're just doing their thing and trying to make a living like the rest of us. So keep a piece of paper and a cup to trap them and set them free. You'll feel better for it.

They are insects. To get rid of these insects, pest control will help. More information available at http://www.pests.in
