This is subjective for the time period.... My parents didn't let me watch the Batman and Robin TV series...

You know, the one with Adam West and Burt Ward that had the ridiculously fake fights and POW on the TV screen when a "punch" was thrown......

It makes you wonder what people will consider violent 30 - 40 years from now...

I don't have kids but if I did, I wouldn't be too particular on letting them watch TV. It's not very educational, I would prefer for them to read and play games and such. But, I wouldn't let them watch the cartoons on Teletoon, they are pretty bad. I think the only thing they'd be allowed to watch is the shows on Treehouse, like Sesame Street and all. But no Dora or Spongebob, cuz I can't STAND them!

i do no longer preserve the family individuals guy in any respect, i think of it extra beneficial than pushes the envelope. The simpsons isn't real undesirable i agree even nonetheless it does have it moments besides. Now i do no longer shield the television like a police lady, yet I pay interest to what they are observing, and then tell them you comprehend what i myself did no longer preserve this instruct, and why i did no longer preserve that instruct. i do no longer purely like the somewhat some exhibits on mtv the two, and that they are conscious of that. i myself do no longer situation plenty, because of the fact like perfect now i'm interior the lounge and my 17 365 days previous has it on the disney channel, she is the only newborn residing house (different 2 at different mothers and dads). So it many times maintains to be on the disney channel, svu, dressmaker exhibits, or track stations, fox for americna idol, or headline information. i think of you will no longer be able to restrict each little thing, yet provide them the knowldege to assert nicely my mothers and dads would not in all probability approve of this message, so as that they get up and turn it themselves. it fairly is barely for standard kind exhibits on television, this would not comprise r video clips or worse , those could all be montiored heavily, and not be considered, till age approiate

I know this isn't really what you are asking, but when I was growing up we weren't allowed to watch...

Roseanne
Simpsons
Married with Children
Sisters

I don't have kids, but there are tons of shows on now that I wouldn't let them watch - even the ones geared towards kids aren't very good I don't think.

Nothing after 8:00 p.m., that's their bedtime, not to mention things get a little more saucier after that time.
