Starting cereal between 4-6 months, veggies at 6 months, fruit at 7 months, meat at 8 months. It really all depends on your baby's appetite and food tolerance, I tested all the cereal for 3-5 days each (single grains) before instroducing the mixed cereals and before adding anything different to his diet-to make sure I knew what was causing a reaction. He was on straight cereal for a little over a month.

Generally, babies tolerate cereal well at about 3 months. Cereal is baby food, so you can start adding fruit to the cereal right away. But, be careful with baby's digestive system and start with baby fruits like carrots and apples, then pears, then bananas. Introduce them one at a time and see how well they digest. This way you can avoid food allergies. I also highly recommend spending a little more and only giving the baby organic food as babies are extra sensitive to chemicals and additives!

If the baby tolerates cereal well after a few days you should be able to start other baby foods. Use stage 1 of course. HAVE FUN!

After about a week on cereal, start mixing in just a little bit of carrots (baby food, smoothest one you can find). A ratio of about 1 parts carrots to 4 parts cereal. Then gradually add introduce other foods - about one every 3 days.

Depends on how old your baby is. I started cereal at 4 months with my daughter, and then started veggies a month later because I couldn't get the cereal thick enough to satisfy her anymore. Its advised that you start with the yellow/orange veggies for a week, then move onto others. Make sure you just give a few spoonfuls at first to check for allergies/reactions. After 2 weeks of veggies, add fruits. Start with just applesauce or pears, then move up slowly to the mixed fruits. My daughter eats the premixed cereal with applesauce/bananas in the jars by Gerber, and she loves them for breakfast. You shouldn't start meats until they are 8-9 months old. Before you start meats they should be up to 3 meals a day. An example day would be cereal with fruit for breakfast, fruit and veggies for lunch, and cereal-fruit-veggies for dinner. Good luck, hope I helped.

I started my daughter on cereal at 16 weeks. After 3 or 4 days of that I added applesauce to her diet. As long as your baby is at least 16 weeks or 4 months old, it is okay to add foods.

I started giving babyfood at 7 months. There are some basic standards: They have to able to sit up and have control of their head movements. They also have to be making some sort of chomping movements with their mouth. (The secret is...don't make feeding a stressful time. If your baby gets upset, stop, and try it another day...they will eventually eat)
I started with oatmeal mixed into a paste with her formula/breast milk,
Then I started adding things like sweet potatoes, peas, carrots once a day to the oatmeal...just a teaspoon.
Then I added some mild fruits (pears, bananas, apples)
Then I increased it every day a little bit.
Then I started giving it to her twice a day.
At 8 months, I started giving her stage 2 meats, and feeding her 3x per day, and thickening her food with oatmeal.
Right now, she is almost 8.5 months old, and I will start giving her unsweetened yogurt mixed with her fruit.
(During all of this, I have been giving her bottle feedings in between these meals)
I also put a sippy cup (that has a really soft mouthpiece) on the highchair table and casually let her pick it up and try to drink from it...no pressure....this helps her start learning to drink on her own.
There is a really cool thing on the market. I don't know exactly what it is called, but it is a plastic handle that has a little mesh bag
that locks down on the handle. You can put things like apple or banana pieces in there, and she can gum it (or bite if she has teeth), and she can actually consume what is in the bag without any pieces of food getting into her mouth. It also teaches her to bite and chew safely. We bought one at target. Just make sure the locking mechanism works extra tight...you don't want it to open when you aren't looking.

I started my kids on cereal at 4 months then added one food at a time after that. It is recommended to start off with light colored veggies then light colored fruits. It is recommended to give at least a week in between introducing a new veggie or fruit to see if they have an allergy to it. Good luck!!
