My ailment is: possible cervical cancer. I will know for sure when the biopsy results come in next week. As far as your tounge goes....The mouth heals very well on its own. My daughter slipped and hit her upper gums on a bunkbed rail. The bleeding really scared me, we went to the E.R. they said all is well and the mouth will heal itsself. I thought they were wacked-I could of sworn I saw the root of her little baby tooth. But, they were right,we cant even tell she had a deep laceration in her gum line at all. The same healing process goes with the tounge-
