I'm a fulltime college student, and I've been on the same job five years, but have tried a few other jobs during this time which I didn't like, so I left after a few months. Is it considered lieing on the application if I don't list the short term jobs? Can an employer find out?
I want to leave my current job, but only if I can find a place that pays better, where I feel more comfortable. Otherwise, it's not worth leaving a job I've been on five years.
So, when filling out job applications, do you list all employers, including those where you only stayed a few months? How long would you have to work at a job before you'd consider listing them on your application? I'm worried that employers may be turned off if they see I've worked a couple of jobs 3-6 months and then left, even if I did remain employed on another job over five years during that time.
