Golf Outings, Golf Outings Golf Outings..

Our Travel Hockey team does one a year and averages greater than 7-thousand dollars for the team, and this in the economic climate of Southeastern Michigan.. Most golf courses are more than familiar with fund raising events.. If you schedule two, or maybe three at key points during the late fall.. early spring and summer.. and get parent involvement with finding players..

(Our hockey team, each parent had to find at least one golfer, or 'donate' 100 dollars to cover the lack of a golfer) Most parents found five or six golfers willing to pay the 100 dollar scramble fee..
The golf course we used, provided a steak dinner after the scramble.. the team provided prizes.. and with the golfers, we also had sponsers at each hole.. anywhere from 25 to 100 dollars, depending on the size..

We are doing a similar thing where I live. I know that the organization has organized a golf outing to raise funds, as well as the typical candy sales. They have also sent around a mailer asking the community to doante $10 for evey year your kid has/will be playing in organized youth sports.
