no matter what they have done everyone deserves at least the chance to rectify the mistakes they have made personally i was a drug addict done some shitty things that was 10 years ago so for 10 years i have been making up to my family and friends and only real friends give second chances. and family.
some said i deserved nothing but jail. i was even told life was too good for me. but since then ive done umpteen things for charity walks hikes. etc so they were wrong. people have gained through me being clean and serene.
yes people need the chance to make good or second chance.
but once bitten twice shy some say .
i also believe in Karma so it's good karma to forgive.

That is a wide open question!!

It totally depends on what they have done to be given a second chance. Some times people do and sometimes people dont.

I wouldnt let peadophiles live even - never mind a second chance. Call me harsh - but my tax is better used else where.

It depends. A Girl? I would have to be very much in love with that person to give a second chance.

If that person was male, then I would have to consider him as a good friend.

I use to think that everyone did, but now I don't
feel that way about certain people. I don't feel
a murderer should get a second chance nor should
a pedophile. Terrorists certainly don't deserve
another chance.

If they're family or close friends, definitely, but if they've really hurt you or taken advantage of your good nature, or you don't really know them, then not EVERYONE deserves a second chance.

Absolutely NO!
How many chances would you give someone to shoot you?
How many to rape you or beat you up?
My first husband and I got along fine. He knew I had been abused as a child. We were drinking on day and he got mad at me, and hit me with his open hand. He had a black belt in karate. He knocked me OUT!
I haven't spoken to him in over 35 years, and don't care what his reason was or wasn't. He begged me to take him back.
Nobody gets to hit me without SEVERE consequences.
Otherwise, I forgive people, and give them 2-3 chances, after which they fall off the face of the earth.

It depends on what they did. Put yourself in the other persons' shoes for the moment.....would you want to be given a second chance if it were you?

It depends on who is the person and what has he/she done.
But in general if someone keeps doing the same thing then it is a habit and not a mistake. If he/she did something out of character then i will consider it a mistake and of course i will give him/her another chance.
