Well, there is supposed to be pre-ordering online at a "later date" as I heard it, but you could pre-order at the store on Tuesday but they "sold out" of pre-order slots by 2PM nation wide, so good luck.
And he's not the only one that would "pay for that crap". In fact 8.9 million US people said they would buy a PS3 dispite the price compared to 400,000 that would buy an xbox 360 (same poll). Besides, a PS3 can play Blu-Ray discs and a stand alone BR player costs about $1000, so its actually a pretty awsome deal.

Why would you pre order overpriced Crap? Do yourself a favor and get a 360 or Wii

Yes you can preorder with EB Games. They have no idea when it will ship. But if they are taking pre orders you bet it will be soon.
