If your doctor isn't worried, you shouldn't be. Your baby may move more at night, my son did. The best time to feel the baby move is in the evening. Drink some juice and lay on you back or left side, put some soothing music on or your favorite t.v. show. Or take a warm bath. Relax yourself and you will feel that baby moving. Don't rush it though, the little one will be in your arms soon enough. One morning you will wake up and you will LOOK very prenant. It seemed to happen to me almost overnight. I "ballooned" around 7 months. Good luck, Hun.

the time will come. Everyone is different, and not everyone ends up huge. I had two girls, and I was small with both of those pregnancys. But Now i am having a boy and am huge. I am 24 weeks. I would just relax. It will all happen in good time. Some babys are more active then others. Try this:

1. drink a cup of apple juice
2. Lay on your side in a quite, dark room
3. wait for movement right below your belly button

this usually works but some babys don't move alot. Eventually there will be not s much room in there and you will feel everything. My girls used to use my third rib as a foot rest.

When I was 6 months, I had the same problem, but the doctor said it was nothing. The baby was kinda small, thats why I thought she wasn't moving. Im 36 weeks now, and my baby moves so much I can barely sleep. I am always feeling and seeing a little body part pop up some where on my stomach. When I got further along she started moving all day and night, I also was concerned at first, but I'm not anymore.

Do NOT worry at all! Nobody feels their baby at 4 months.
I didn't feel mine til I was 26 weeks. Many mothers think they feel their babies before then, but many times it is just gas in their intestines.

When you did the sonogram, didn't you see the baby doing flips and waving his arms? Babies move like CRAZY....and don't let people tell you he is LAZY...that is not possible.

Babys move like crazy from just a few weeks gestation, and get a little slower after 28 weeks because there is no room to move.
They are floating around in the fluid, so you don't feel them kicking until they are much bigger. Some women have more fluid around the baby, which makes it even harder to feel him kicking.

Don't you worry....you will be veryyyyy happy..just give it a few more weeks. Every 1st time mom is scared. I was the SAME WAY!!!!

hi, i'm a nurse. if you haven't felt your baby move it's not because he's not moving. it means that you just can't feel him move. if the ultrasound showed no abnormalities then you can rest assure that everything is fine. most new moms don't feel the movement until late in the pregnancy because they don't know that certain gastric movements are actually the baby and not just gas or other things. in about two months he'll be much bigger and you'll be able to feel every move he makes and you may be experiencing some discomfort then and will wish that you could go back to not feeling him as much. i take it that this is your first child. if so, don't worry. everything will be fine.

Since this is your first one - you should always talk to your doc about all of your concerns. FYI - do you ever get the butterfly feeling in your tummy? That is also the baby moving. Don't worry about not looking pregnant it will come soon enough & you'll wish things were different or back to normal. Also, you keep referring to the baby as he/him - don't get your hopes up too high. You'll be disappointed if it winds up being a girl. My 2 sono's (1st child) told me it was a boy - WRONG. Good luck.

I was 5 1/2 months the first time I felt my 1st child. Then it was a little bit like a butter fly in my tummy.
By the time your 7 months you will start feeling more! Congradulations!
Most mothers worry about that, I did too.

Just give it a little more time. Different people's bodies react to things differently. By 30 weeks, you should notice quite a bit of movement. By 37 weeks, baby tends to slow down some because there's not much room for him to wiggle around because he's so big and about ready to make his Grand Entrance.
