You either are not a friend to tires or you love the smell of rubber. If it's just burn outs your looking for go with the 3.08 gears. If your going to be running down the strip then get the 3.7. I'm still trying to figure out why you would want a 5 minute burn out. the burn is to make the tires hook up better by heating them up and getting them a little sticky. shouldn't take 5 minutes. just my thoughts.

It all depends. how much power does your engine have? You need lots of torque. What is the 1st gear ratio. Either could work. Are you only going to use this car to smoke your tires? You may want to drive it for a different purpose some day. Gears don't come in a 3.7 ratio anyway, they don't want the same gear teeth always running on the same teeth of the other gear, but 3.73 is close.

Actually it doesnt matter what ration you have in the rear end. If its an automatic just put it in Drive and nail the gas pedal...if its a straight stick put it in 2nd gear and do the the same...better start with a new tire if you going to do a 5 minute burnout...

first of all you I dont see why you would want to burnout for 5 mins. I guess you like seein the metal in your tires. But go with 3.7

3.7 or even better would be 4.1, but I'm guessing your tires won't last 5 minutes. I'm betting they'll blow before you reach that mark unless you've got some seriously thick tread.

3.73 with over 500 hp will do just fine. I would say use eagle gt+ tires to get a huge cloud of smoke.

3.7
the higher the number the more torque applied to the tires and less top end speed.
