I have g/b/b triplets and the boys are identical. I didn't have trouble telling the boys apart, although just about everyone else did. If you are worried about it, you can paint the nails of one with non-toxic nail polish for the first few weeks until they develop their own personalities.

I have never had identical twins but I have been around them alot. I can tell you that even though they are identical there are ways to distinguish the two. One of the two I knew had a scar over her eye that the other didn't. Another set, one possessed a freckle. And they have their own characteristics and once you know the characteristics it is easy.

My twins are not identical, but throughout my pregnancy and after I have spoken to many moms of identical twins. Apparently, in can be really tough to tell them apart for the first while, and things have been done such as putting color coded anklets on the babies, painting a toenail of one baby etc.
They have said that as the babies get older it gets easier to tell them apart.
To the answer above me, it sounds like your twins are not identical. Identical means complete genetic copies. It is possible to have 2 fraternal girl twins, they can look very similiar (or nothing alike) but have small difference as you have described. A 100% way of knowing is genetic testing..a little costly. But if they have differences in size, hair color, eye color, look slightly different, chances are pretty good they are not identical

We have identical girls.
My wife always could tell them apart, to the degree that she sometimes feels the doctors were wrong that that they were identical.
Even if there was some confusion, one has always been a little larger than the other (since birth) and we always had that as a confirmation. There are also a number of other small differences (moles, scars, etc).

I have not had them, but I had 2 friends that did. It is a natural thing, you know who is who. There are ways that you can tell, one may have a mark that the other does not, or one may be louder than the other. Either way, you never forget. But if you are worried, dress them in opposite clothing so you can always tell!! Good Luck!!

Know as for me and the rest of our family we couldn't tell which was which with out looking at their faces. one had a rounder face then the other. yet to this day some times i can't figure them out and my mom will always know. She said its just instinct.

I know someone who wrote names on diapers.
Sometimes the babies will have a VERY small difference. Single freckle on the left butt for baby a and a single freckle on the right butt for baby b

even identical twins will have their idiosyncrasies. you'll be easily able to identify them just by the way they walk, talk, etc (when they're older, naturally)
