Hello. I'm taking a class at my college called Criminal Evidence. I overheard another student say if you're drinking cranberry juice and someone slips a date rape drug inside, the cranberry juice cancels it out. How true is that? And why does it happen, if it's true? Please, only serious answers!

Thats like saying if I add vodka to cranberry juice will I still get drunk, hell yes!

I seriously doubt that cranberry juice could counteract the effects of that drug.

Doubt it. There's more than one "date rape drug."
Next time you're at a frat party, don't drink or eat anything, unless you opened the can yourself -- and if you did open the can yourself, don't put the can down out of your sight even for a second.

Theres is no way to cancel out drugs affects. You can absorb the drug using charcoal. For the drug to lose its effect it has to metabolized. But the drug takes affect before you body can metabolize it.

Crandberry juice if highly concentrated can actually offset the memory loss of ruffies so you may have a chance of remembering it after the fact.
