You should go abroad for studies because wherever you go, whatever language you are interested in study, you will gain knowledge that you would otherwise not receive if you were to simply study at the university you are currently at. The experience is the most important reason for studying abroad. I plan to study abroad myself this summer in Costa Rica and I know that I will improve my Spanish greatly as well as learn a lot about myself that I would otherwise not find out at my university. Besides, it'll probably be one of the best vacations/times to party. The professors that you will have when you study abroad realize that you are there for the experience and they don't put as much pressure on you as they do back at your university. You can go out and enjoy the culture you have been immersed in.
