I realized that it wasn't the material that was giving me hives, but that the laundry detergent I was using was causing me problems. It turned out that I developed an allergy to dyes and perfumes in most detergents. Now I use All Free and Clear, or Purex Free and Clear.

Try that.

Maybe. I guess it's possible for someone to be allergic to a fabric. That could cause hives.

In fact... I have a friend that's allergic to certain types of carpet. ><

hives can be caused but anything and everything......... you may be allergic to silk, satin, wool it may even be your laundry soap. keep a diary of when you get hives and what you did on that day and what you wore that will help eliminate things and narrow the culprit

yes if you are allergic to it, anything can cause you hives. . . most people find though that it is the laundry soap, or the body soap that they are using that cause the hives and not the clothing its self. .. so check it out . . .experiament . . . or w/e

any cloth can cause hives if your are allergic to them

U NEED TO KEEP TRACK OF THE MATERIAL THAT YOU ARE WEARING, AND IF IT BREAKS YOU OUT IN HIVES DO NOT WEAR IT!!!!!!!

If you sweat and have wool on. I'm in marching band and our uniforms are wool...it's not very fun...
