Have you seen it?

Torn Curtain: Allegedly, the most dysfunctional movie made by Hitchcock. He had quarrels with Paul Newman and Bernard Hermann - who never worked with him again.

I would like to hear your thoughts on the movie. Is it worth spending $15 to buy Torn Curtain?

Although it's nowhere close to being Hitchcock's best film, it's okay. It is VERY plot heavy - and, frankly, I watched it twice before I got every single clue LOL.

I thought the casting was one of the biggest problems. Maybe it's just me - but when you think of Cold War spies, are Paul Newman and Julie Andrews the first names to spring to mind? LOL I just never believe either of them.

However, it has it's Hitchcock moments of suspense and double crossing...well worth a couple of hours for sure.

It's an Ok film but way down on the best Hitchcock films. Casting isn't great and it's rather complex with a lot of hidden facts. You really need to pay attention to get everything, but hey it's Hitch so I love it!

If you are a fan of his work then by all means get it. Other recommendations would be the man who knew too much, sabotage, strangers on a train, and the big ones psycho, vertigo and rear window.

It definitely is not the master at his finest! This and some of his earlier ones are not quite up to speed. You can see the Hitchcock formula being made but it isn't all together yet.
