No one can replace Beckham (giving players morale)
No one can "cross" like Beckham
No one would be disappointed if he were to come back
He loves the game and I believe he still has mountains of passion for his team. Every time he is put down, he answers with his football.
I hope he gets the chance to do exactly that.
I am disappointed with McClaren for the "disrespect" he has shown the former captain.

Why are so many people obsessed with bringing Beckham back. Here are some reasons why he should not:
He can't head a ball
He can't kick with his left foot.
He can't dribble
He has no pace
He can't tackle
He can't get in the Real Madrid side
McLaren should never have been given the job as manager. He spent too much time with Sven. A brand new set up should have been given a chance. In today's game you need pace to get behind defences. The present set up is not working. It is time to give the youngsters a chance. Walcott, Wright Phillips and Lennon when fit. Gareth Barry should be in the team. He is playing better than Lampard and is so much better than Downing. It was not the fact that we lost to Croatia it was the way we lost. One shot in the whole game and that was a weak effort. Why play Rooney when he is so out of form. Why play Defoe when he is not even guaranteed a place in the Spurs side. People keep on saying how good Terry and Ferdinand are. Croatia had one forward in a scoring position for the first goal surrounded by at least four defenders. Not one of them made a serious challenge for the ball. The Goalkeeper was hopelessly out of position. After every game the players say we must and will do better next time. They do not? On last night's performance there should not be a player who is an automatic choice. Beckham would not have changed the performance nor the result.

You can't expect England to suddenly become some almighty footballing force just by playing Beckham. Another thing, I don't think Beckham is as great as people claim he is. I just don't think he is as good as he was about 4-5 years ago, and he only kept his place as long as he did because of the hype surrounding him. Don't get me wrong, Beckham certainly isn't a crap player, I just find it annoying when people think he should be untouchable and that dropping him should have been unthinkable.
Let's not forget, when the next Euro 2008 comes along, Beckham will be 33 (35 at the next World Cup), so it's a good time to bring in some new blood because we need to get used to playing without him now rather than a few weeks before the tournament starts.
One last thing, apart from Owen Hargreaves (who was outstanding), I think the biggest surprise at the last World Cup was Aaron Lennon, who i think would make a good replacement for Beckham in the future.

I don't mind whether Beckham joins the team again or not, simply because I don't think that England's performance is dependent on one player. While all the guys individually may be good football players, they are weak as a team.
All the years that Becks was in the team, England hasn't manage to win a world cup. So clearly, Beckham does not mean victory. If England is going to win matches, the whole team needs to perform much better.

Yeah put Becks back in the side and get rid of bleeding Lampard he's a useless W----R!
He has had more goal scoring opportunities than I've hot bloody dinners and he still can't put them away....Beckham would at the very least set somebody else up with one of his nicely weighted passes...Becks just needs to do a bit more around the ground other than take all corners and free kicks.

Yes i agree McClaren should put Beckham back to the England squad. Think he is just being stubborn and want to "save his own face" thus he insist on not putting Becks back. May he do some soul searching

Take it from a Scotsman, Beckham is an overated, overpaid, underperforming prima donna. Anyone who wants him back in the team should go and take a cold shower with Allan Green. Whilst enjoying watching your lot get rogered at the World Cup, I couldn`t believe how immune from criticisim Beckham was, why? Now you have the same situation with Rooney and Crouch, both are crying out to be dropped and you are looking for excuses to explain the fact that the two of them are playing crap right now. Still, one consolation for me is that it is great to watch you lot suffer. Bring on the Isreal and the Ruskies.

Yes, he is being stubborn bring back Becks at least for a few games and see if they start playing better!! He may not be as good as he once was but he didn't deserve to be totally kicked of the team.

Definately. Becks is such a generous player and was happy to give the ball for others to score. He is sorely missed but I doubt if the manager will admit he has made a mistake in letting him go!! The fans need to organise a "bring back Beckham" campaign,

Heck no. This is not the local pub team. Everyone should have to earn their place within the squad. I don't deny that Beckham is talented, but he just doesn't do enough on the pitch. Until the same kind of effort is seen from him as in his early Man U. days I say bench him.
