I have a Linksys 10/100 16 port Workgroup Switch. Model number is EZXS16W. On the adapter it says
Model No. AD 3.3/5
Model number:AW17-3R3-U
P/N:PS17-0305-AM
AC INPUT:100-240V~,50-60Hz, MAX.0.6A
DC OUTPUT :+3.3V-,5.0A

Radio shack said I would have to get one from Linksys, Linksys support said to get one at Best Buy or an Electronics store. Can someone tell me exactly which one I need to buy and which numbers are important on the adapter. I don't want to blow out the switch.

Any AC adapter that provides 3.3 volts with a minimum capacity of 5 amps will do the job. Make sure the connector is correct and is using the proper polarity.

No need to worry about it. Just find any DC 3.3V power adapter and plug it in. If it works, you're fine. Just make sure it is DC output and it is rated for 3.3V or less. Frankly, this is why I keep all my old power adapters in a box in my garage. I can't tell you how many times I've been able to re-use and old adapter on a completely different device.

The only one I found is here:
http://www.pinnaclemicro.com/dcat.cgi?g=AW17-3R3U&page=1
But it costs $120!! You might want to try just a regular AC Adapter from RadioShack...get one that supports 3.3v
