I have done this before... I know next time i will let some one know. even if you didn't notice anyone around to see... there are always nosey- good deed doers around every turn.

Since you are now talking about it online, it appears you obviously chose to leave...that's called "hit and run" and is illegal in all 50 states. The proper thing to do is to either find the owner and tell them, or leave a detailed note with your name, license and insurance info. You don't know for sure that no one saw it. If there was a Good Samaritan neighbor who saw this and reported it, they can cause you (or whoever's car it was) a world of trouble. Idiot. Go back and tell the owner if you still can.

if the damage to the car was only light and no one saw me i would leave.if i didnt have a license and no one saw i would leave.but i guess if the damage was heavy and i was a lega driver w/ insurance i would stop and say something.
