I sympathize with your situation since i just graduated and know how difficult the SAT's can be. Speaking from Personal Experience you watn to buy some practice books if you can find them...maybe check out some international book stores? im not sure if youd find them in India but you could always try.... plus I highly recomend you go to www.collegeboard.com....there you can register for SAT's and you can take some practice tests...other sites would include checking out the Princeton Review. I hope this helps! Good Luck!

SAT prep is an abbreviated term for SAT preparation. The SAT is a standardized test, formerly called the Scholastic Aptitude Test and the Scholastic Assessment Test. The SAT is used by most colleges and universities in the United States to assist them in selecting incoming freshmen. The SAT is strictly administered by the College Board and offered several times each year.

Most students will take the SAT at least twice, and the first time will usually be sometime during their junior year in high school. SAT prep is helpful and necessary for anyone who intends to take the SAT. Many high school students have found that an SAT prep course will help them perform better on the SAT whether or not they are taking it for the first time, or if they have taken the test several times before. The SAT is made up of multiple choice questions including verbal and mathematics, and the entire exam lasts approximately four hours. In 2005, an essay writing section was added to the SAT, so SAT prep classes now offer suggestions and tips about how to write the essay.

While most students dread taking the SAT, it is a necessary evil and SAT prep can help immensely. SAT prep will help students prepare for the SAT in a variety of ways. First, an SAT prep course will encourage students to relax. Second, it will show them exactly what to expect on the exam. SAT prep gives students sample questions and shows them how questions are often worded to "trick" test takers, and students will have the opportunity to take one or more sample SAT exams.

An SAT prep course should be taken at least twelve weeks before the actual exam. Crash courses are available and can help minimally, but they often do more harm than good, by simply showing the student how much they do not know. SAT prep courses can be taken by individuals at home out of a book, in a classroom environment with an instructor, or online with an online instructor and discussion group. Countless books are available that provide many sample questions, suggestions, and facts about the exam.

To find an online SAT prep course, visit collegeboard.com. This is the official SAT testing center online, and it will give you the opportunity to order books or sign up for online courses. For an SAT prep course in your area, call the local public school or school board.

It is used by the US colleges and universities to assess how well you are expected to do your first year of college.

It includes three sections: verbal, quantative (math), and writing, each with 800 points each and scored in 10-point incriments. They are all multiple choice and there is an essay in the writing section.

As an international student, you most likely won't need to take the SAT, but will have to take the TOFEL (english proficency exam) instead. I would check with the colleges you are interested in to find out for sure.

i do no longer imagine it serves a purpose. As we stated with gay marriage in California it does no longer count number if each and every man or woman in California votes hostile to gay marriage. It in hardship-free words concerns if the splendid court says banning gay marriage is unconstitutional. electorate and public opinion are beside the point even as it come to the structure. So i imagine what you're saying is that those who have not been indoctrinated into your particular beliefs suitable to the structure might want to no longer be allowed to vote. No that's faulty.

I got 2 perfect scores in math and reading, but my writing score was only 720, for a total of 2320. I only read this SAT guide, and that is how I got such high scores:

I recommend this guide to anyone seeking to get a higher score to get into a first choice college.

Well, SAT is one of the requirements you have to take to get out of high school..

SAT can be took by:(but its mandatory though)

Students who plan to leave high school early to enroll in college full time, adter spending three years or less in grades 9-12.

Students who plan to participate in a post-secondary enrollment option program(through which they enroll full time simultaneously in both high school and college)

And there are some Scholarships you can get. (it is mostly based on your SAT score, ethnic background, sex etc.)
