believe it or not the thing about cheerios is true. any type of oats can lower bad cholesterol and raise good cholesterol thus helping to lower triglycerides. aerobic exercise helps too. it does not have to be very exerting even a short 30 min. walk a few times a week. I use to take meds for cholesterol and triglycerides and they barely lowered my levels yet they ruined my liver. now oatmeal and exercise and the levels are going down fairly quickly.

triglyceride levels are very easy to lose , all u have to do is a slight change in your life style and diet
go slow on your carbs n fat
go for fresh vegetables, fruits and small frequent meals rather than binging on ,and feastings......
get up from that chair of yours , walk a mile aday , use the stairs
try not to get on the lift

in brief losing about 10% of your present weight and losing your sweet tooth will bring your tgl back to normal

inspite of all these if no change is seen or any other comorbid conditions preexist consult your physician

Have you talked to your doctor about medication. It may be due to genetics. I eat oatmeal and Cheerios every day and limit the meat that I consume. Best of luck to you!
