I love the Beatles, it's hard to choose one best song from their body of work, much less all the rest of the great songs out there. Across the Universe, a Beatles song I love, for it's lyrics mostly, but Revolution has to be among the best ever.
I also love:
Behind Blue Eyes, The Who
Great Balls of Fire, Jerry Lee Lewis
Beast of Burden, Rolling Stones
Badge, Cream.
There are so many I love, I guess I can't pick a best one. I love CCR, Queen, The Allman Bros., Jimi Hendrix, and of course Led Zeppelin. And a couple hundred others. Hey Jude is an awesome choice, though. I'll leave "Imagine" for someone else to answer, even though I love it also. Now I'm going to be thinking about this all day when I should be working! Thanks!! ;-)

I agree...Revolution is probably better song than Hey Jude. Led Zeppelin's Whole Lotta Love plus it's B side is classic.
