My sister says I should just go sit at the office until someone has the time to see me. I really want the job. There are 2 places that are hiring for the same job and I have gone through both. It has only been 2 days , so how long should I wait? I need the job very soon and I need to begin working again. What should I do?

Call them and follow up. Tell them that you are very interested in the job and ask them if they have any additional questions for you. Be assertive without being aggressive.

Call them both after one week to follow up.

Sitting in the office waiting for someone to see you will cost you the job. Nobody wants mentally unstable employees.

Call them after the third day or wait 5 business days. Just say your inquiring about a position you applied for on such and such day. If she says the position hasn't yet been filled ask her when they are going to make the decision. Good luck!
