This is not new, it has been raging for many years and concerns North Korea's development of nuclear weapons. North Korea claimed to have detonated a nuclear weapon this week, although many experts believe it might have been a dud. The furor in this country surrounds the sudden call by many Democrats for immediate action, and condemnation of the Bush administration. North Korea is no more a threat today than they were a year ago. Democrats are blowing it out of proportion and playing politics. With the election less than a month away they will latch onto anything which they think will win votes. The Bush administration has taken a position that we should allow diplomacy a chance to work since much of the world is against North Korea in this matter. Democrats who have been screaming for 3 years about how bad the administration is for not following the UN regarding Iraq, are suddenly reversing course on North Korea and demanding we go against the UN. Do not let the hype overly alarm you. The simple facts are that at this time nukes or not, North Korea does not have the ability to launch against the US. China, North Korea's largest ally has expressed discontent with them and is working towards a solution. Diplomacy is the proper action at this time.

Sunday night North Korea tested its first nuke weapon underground. And that has cause a furor in the Far East. Then a about a night ago Japan thought it might have picked up a second nuclear test. That has turned out be false. Still NK is rattling its sabers. And China is relutanct to impose sanctions. But since the first test events have been fluid. Anything can happen.

Two sides seperated by a thin line called the "DMZ" and guarded by enough guns and weapons to blow everybody up already now want to include in this highly charged area a "weapon of mass destruction" from North Korea--some people call it a "Nuke"--others say "Atomic Bomb". Anyhow you call it--this can develope into something "quite serious", and our President will have to deal with this in a very strong manner--including the use of military force. All "options" are still on the table, as President Bush likes to say. One thing is to keep a eye on China -- they help / trade with N. Korea and can have a great effect on the out-come of all this. "Politics"-- you have to be good to play in this chess game--One and All should give full support , and stand firmly with our "Commander-in- Chief" in this manner--even if your opinion differs. A united group can cause more things to happen, and in a shorter time period, than a fragmented one. Have a nice day.

hi, how lengthy have you ever lived right here, no longer lengthy i'm guessing. North Korea has missiles, in 2000 one among those missiles reached the coast line of AK. placed a nuke on authentic of those missiles, and we've issues. One nuke going off close to the coast of Cal. might want to reason radiation to spread east with the winds. Do you get it, your fearing chief went after the incorrect united states of america, because he develop into fearful of dealing with North Korea even as he had a probability. Now we chance utilising nukes to end this mission or North Korea will change into the United Korea lower than the guideline of Kimmy boy.

I heard from someone who works in the WMD division in the UN that the test was an utter failure. It was a very basic nuclear device they were testing, and they still could not get it to work.

I think they will continue to test these nuclear weapons. Whether they eventually succeed remains to be seen. Although this is cause for alarm, it should not be as much as other recent tests, such as the one in Pakistan which was a complete success.
