Is it me or does it seem like people don't care anymore. I'm young but in my few years on this earth, it has changed alot. Since the divorce and STD rates are high and it seems like no one is in the long haul. Whatever happened to opening doors, pulling out chairs, holding hand, long kisses and politeness. Does anyone know where all the real gentlemen and ladies are located?

I too still believe in chivalry. My man is younger then I and he still pulls out my chair and opens my door for etc... I think it all depends on how you were raised!

My GF will tell you that chivalry is not dead. I believe that people have given in to that statement and closed the topic. In a society where the divorce rate is high, as are STDs, monogomy is becoming a thing of the past. People are either jumping in too early or not taking the time to understand and grow. I firmly believe in being a gentleman and treating a woman with respect, and there are those who are appreciative of it.

Right here lol along with the housewife type living. I agree not many people do that stuff anymore but i think part of that has to do with people learn that stuff as they are growing up with their parents and these days people can't aford to spend time with their kids sadly the kids are dumped in daycare and can't learn much about how to treat another person, later in life.

conduct yourself in a chivalrous manner, you wont get so much as a thank you - while you are busy holding the door and pulling out chairs .. Flav o Flav is busy disrespecting and calling women "bit**es" ... yet getting them to do nasty fun stuff ..
you can pick up the check and .. fiddy cent get the as* ...
the flip side is .. with all the talk of Women's Rights .. and what not .. your behavior may be seen as atavistic and or demeaning TO WOMEN ..
you cant win .. so dont bother ..

I'm not sure where it went but I wish it was here. I love hand holding, door opening, hand kissing, and please and thank-yous. I still use these and love it when they are used with me.
