Something special to her
Something that you went out of your way to get
Something expensive - more than you can afford
Something she won't expect

I'd need to know more about her for specifics. If she writes I'd get her a Montblanc fountain pen. You get it...

The 1-year anniversary is considered the "paper" anniversary because the marriage is fairly fragile at this point. So to signify that, you get something with a paper theme. At least that's the traditional route.

My advice is to stay away from Jewelry just yet. If you start out at that level now, what are you going to have to do when you reach the 5 or 10 year or 50 year. Start small and work your way up SLOWLY.

If you want to be traditional - then it has to be paper...but that is lame so go with jewelry or spa visit or romantic perfume - or a great night out dinner / show. OR tie in something about your wedding day - ie - where did you get married? Was it a hotel? Stay there for the night or go visit the place you got married for a little romantic reminiscing!

Make it unforgetable!!!!!!!! This is the biggest one. Because its your first one.

Okay some suggestions.
Make her dinner... Leave rose peddles leading her to he dinner table.. and then to the bed room. Have a nice hot bath for her with candles and rose peddles all over the place. Give he a bath. Then carry her to the bed room and make love.

Things you could get her?
Try a necklace... or something
Maybe some sexy panties and bras??
Or a sweater for this winter.
What about a scrap book of your wedding pictures ect.

Anything you get her, Im sure she will love! Congrates!

A new husband she must be bored...no no im kidding. You should do something sweet. Put a lot of thought into it. Tell her to come hom late. put candles and rose pettles alover the floor leading her to an incredible dinner for two. Then give her the present. Pick her up and carry herto the bed do it like animals, massage her body until she passes out and when she wakes up give her dessert in bed with a ring in it.

Try making her a scrapbook of stuff from the past year it will come from the heart and us females love it when guys actually take the time to make us something sweet than just rush out and buy something. you could also reconstruct your first date, or the date from when you proposed hope that helps if not jewelry is always nice but diamonds are overplayed

My husband bought me a piece of jewelry but I don't remember..it was 14 years ago. Get something your wife has her eye on or maybe something she mentioned she wanted to get. A nice dinner out at a fine restaurant is nice, too.

Personally, I would like jewelery... I love jewelry. But she might not be that type of girl. Something sentimental is always good with a girl. Just put your thinking cap on, and try to think from her side. If you were her, what would you love?
