It does not heat up well unless the truck is in motion, at which time it heats OK. The colder it is outside the cooler the heat is in the truck. Help?

check thermostat on the engine and the thermostatic flow valve on heater core if those are working and your engine is operating at a normal temp.(not hot)you may get your self a hotter themostat or a winter front on the radiator air intake (grill)

If your temp guage is OK and your engine is hot, then you have blending door issues inside the heating/cooling ducting.
