I have educated myself, but it's more of an opinion question and I wanted to see what other people thought.

Too much info to put here.

So look up NSA Surveillance, RFID, National ID Act (which is under the umbrella of the PA) and then take it from there.

Due to all of these activities, we are loosing more and more of our Constitutionally given rights every day.

Giving up your rights that millions have fought for just so you can 'feel safe' is the very definition of cowardice.

The patriot Act is meant to be a "end hollow" degree corresponding to the 'warfare Powers Act" in WWII I do concede in desperate time desperate measures are noted as for; even nonetheless it fairly is obvious to me they desire this unconstitutional act because of the fact the everlasting regulation of the land, and that i'm ineffective set against it... to respond to your question: The Patriot Act has had NO influence on my existence that i'm conscious of. the priority is that if I wait to stand up for my constitutional rights AFTER the Patroit Act has affected my existence: I certainly have WAITED TOO long. it would be too little too previous due. via that factor ALL of my CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHTS are long previous constantly!!!

We don't know. That's a big part of the problem. Our government doesn't even want us to know how far all the "surveillance" goes. Under the Patriot Act, authorities can act without notification or review. While they claim to be acting only within the limits of the Constitution and only against terrorism suspects, how can we be sure? We don't know just how far it's actually gone.

So far we have not had a major terrorist attack on US soil since 9/11. If it keeps us safe and helps law enforcement keep an eye on the people who want to kill you and me and our kids, parents, friends, etc., I think I can live with it. I would rather have the government be proactive where lunatic psychothugs are concerned than just clean up the messes and bodies after the fact.
Most Americans would not even be aware of this program if it were not for the hysterical and often inaccurate rantings of al-aclu and al-media.

You can look up Patriot Act on the Internet, educate yourself and do your essay with your own opinions rather than listening to other people believe - just click on your search tool

Let me put it to you this way. If our Founding Fathers, the first true American Patriots, read today's Patriot Act they wouldn't want to fight the British they'd be gunning for today's Republicans & Democrats who voted for it.

It hasn't. The Patriot Act is writen in the same languauge that the Rico law is. No one complained when it was passed nor that it goes after the crime lords. This law goes after the terrorist.

The price of flags has gone up.

Politics is an illusion. Our government is owned by corporations.
