Not all Britons have no interest in cricket. Only the Welsh and Scots have no real interest.
It has always been popular in England and remains so today. Whilst its popularity at home cannot match the fervour that Indians and Pakistanis have for the sport, there are a sizable number of players and clubs, not to mention an outstanding League.
There are still a lot of schools and clubs that introduce the sport to children at a young age. This ensures that the sport will continue to flourish, and prevents a shortage of players for the national side.

Who told you british people are not so interested in cricket. In fact
the game of cricket was originated by England. There is no parallel for the interest generated in Ashes Series except for the World Cup and India Pakistan series.

The worst thing that happened in UK with regards to all sports, is that almost monopoly Sky TV have over them. Golf, Cricket, Football etc. are at special rates or pay to view. The ordinary member of the public does not partake with the result that there are few young people coming up through the ranks. Golf is my game and I notice that there are less and less people playing over the years and very few young people....... Bring back sport to terrestrial TV..............

It's because Football is much more popular comparing to Cricket but it's not like British people are not interested in Cricket..they are but lesser in percentage comparing to footy!!

i dont think they are not interested in cricket because England is one of the best cricket team. they have very good cricketers of the world.

Because they haven't been Colonialized by england lmao, thats why they dont see the beauty of thier sport... i bet if Pakistan Colonialized britian Sky Sports would've been capturing gilly danda by now!
