What is the lamp made of?
Some electrical items, do not require and earth.
Double insulated etc.

If the lamp is newish, the manufacturers will have taken this into account. Older lamps may need earthing to metallic parts. Find a discreet part of the lamp, drill a small pilot hole. find a small self tapping screw to suit. Crimp on a eyed crimp onto the earth cable, or wrap a small amount of earth flex around the screw.
This should do the trick.

To make sure this is suitable, get a cheap meter that reads ohms, or makes a noise, when you touch the probes. touch the earth pin on your plug, and the other to a metallic part of your lamp. you should hear the bell or get a reading, if so your now earthed.

Glue on a Electrical contact is not a good idea... Try Soldering the wire... ( Glue may give of a Toxic gas , Superglue is very toxic when heat is applied..( sulphur dioxide )... its a killer ..and that on a Earth connection could be a bad move.
try. http://maplins.com
hope this helps.

There was a time when you could purchase a tube of liquid
solder. Don't know for sure if it was electrically conductive.
That's when "Slot Cars" were popular and it was available at
hobby shops and at the tracks where the cars were raced.

Good Luck!
