britetiger11: Check you history again, buddy. It was Truman's "containment policy" that got involved. U.S. Military advisors were sent to Vietnam starting in 1950.

Good point.
How about Roosevelt who allowed the Japenese to Bomb pearl harbour. They knew the Jap task force was inroute, they intercepted numerous radio messages from the task force to the man Island.
Why do you think the carriers left pearl on Friday dec, 5th?

How can you even compare those wars with what is going on now?

Let's see...World War I..Germany's first attempt at world domination.

World War II...Germany and Japan's attempt at world domination. There was a holocaust!! Or did you not study history??

If we didn't go into Korea then we would have more than just the north to deal with.

No business in Vietnam.

No business in Iraq!!

Okay let's see. Warmonger(according to American Heritage Dict.)NOUN: One who advocates or attempts to stir up war. By this definition all of the above with the exception of Johnson, did not advocate or stir up those wars. We joined those wars that were in progress because of a direct threat to our national security. At least they had a plan when they went to these wars, again save the last one. I would say Bush fits the definition far more precicely. The Bush administration falsified documents, and chose to accept only those that said what they wanted them to say. Bush stirred up and continues to advocate this unjust war that they took us into.

BUSH=Warmonger

You forgot George Bush - Iraq
WW1 - Germany started we finished
WWII - Germany again - we finished it
Korea - N. Korea started it - we finished
Truman had nothing to do with Viet Nam - Eisenhower (a Republican) was first to send troups to Viet Nam
Lyndon Johnson inherited Viet Nam - Nixon (a Republican) gave it a bad ending.
Suggest you read some history books !!

How do you call FDR a "warmonger?" What? We shouldn't have fought back after being attached at Pearl Harbor? This question doesn't make a whole lotta sense. It's making the haters their points for them. Stop it!

well, WWI, WWII were somewhat justified...thats just me though, I mean we could have let Germany take over Europe....Korea same thing: North Korea couldn't stay within their borders...Vietnam I think we did some bad acid and convinced ourselves it was a good idea....

They're still warmongers but they try to wear a peacenik disguise of hippies when Bush is in office.
