How come the american people did not condemn Israels unlawful killing of lebanese civilians in Lebanon?
Israel killed so many in children in Qana and in other cities in lebanon. How come americans claim to respect human rights and turn such a blind eye to the killing of innocent civilians by Israel?

In fact many americans were cheering Israel on and were glad to see Lebanese civilians die. Why the double standard?

Most of the reason is that the mainstream media tends to be controlled by pro-zionists or those who do not want to offend the Jewish population in the US. This led to the under reporting of facts and the total obscuring of the human side of the war.

The irony is that the war was basically very unpopular in Israel because they understand the human side of war.

I disagree with the implication that the yankee people had a great time in seeing the dying of Lebanese civilians. that in basic terms isn't extremely. there are diverse at fault in this conflict. The Lebanese government for not being waiting to alter an unlawful militant team indoors that's extremely very own borders. Hezbollah for that's terrorist activities and for hiding in the back of Lebanese infants and civilians. The Israeli's for their approaches of retaliation. The U.S. for not condemning the two factors.

I disagree with the implication that the American people rejoiced in seeing the death of Lebanese civilians. That simply isn't true. There are many at fault in this conflict. The Lebanese government for not being able to control an unlawful militant group within it's own borders. Hezbollah for it's terrorist activities and for hiding behind Lebanese children and civilians. The Israeli's for their methods of retaliation. The U.S. for not condemning both sides.

Actually, it was not a case of cheering Israel on, but a condemnation of the Lebanese government which, in effect, allowed Hezbollah to declare war of Israel from their country.

Who is in charge in Lebanon? Is it Hezbollah or the Lebanese government? This war showed that Hezbollah could and did declare war on Israel and the Lebanese government did NOTHING to stop them. This is consent by silence.

Civilians died on both sides.

Many of us have and DO condemn Israel for its actions. It's an unfortunate fact of 21st century American life that increasingly, with each succeeding administration, our government represents only themselves. The fact that the U.S. govt. doesn't condemn Israel's actions has nothing to do with whether I do. I also find it "funny" ( for lack of a better term) that people around the world ( Arabs, Muslims , in fact just about everybody these days) constantly accuse Americans of racial stereotyping (ie."All Arabs are terrorists, etc.) and yet turn around and do the same thing with us. The American people are no more one monolithic entity than any other people in the world and many of us disagree with both Israel and our government. what you seem incapable of understanding is that here both sides get to express their opinion. Its called a free society and , flawed as ours is right now, you really ought to try it some day.

Some of us did condemn Israel's actions. Our voices are not always heard, though.

I don't personally know anyone who was cheering the fact that Lebanese civilians were killed.

The American people were not cheering the deaths of Lebanese civilians, you nut.

And there is a portion of the American people that are anti-Israel.

Hopefully the Lebanese will get rid of the terrorist organization Hezbollah, because Islamic militants always cause death, since militant Islam is a death cult.

The current belief in America is probably that the Hezbollah were hiding among the civilians, in violation of international law, and it was unfortuntate that civilians were killed in the attacks on Hezbollah.

Yeah, I do agree with you fsernisi... As a Muslim, I do pity the Lebanese... What the Israelis are doing (by killing those innocent Lebanese people) are totally immoral, inhuman & unacceptable...

Why can't we all unite & just live peacefully & in harmony? No war at all? Sigh~

Because some of us think it was about time Israel fought back against Hezbollah's terrorisim.

So when is Hezbollah's killing of Israelis lawful?
