The "Check Tire Pressure" light comes on every time I have any sort of work done on my tires. The car manual did not include instructions on how to reset the sensor. On the previous car I had, my mechanic showed me where the reset switch is for the O2 sensor. I'm hoping the tire sensor can be reset just as easily. Any ideas?

Make sure all your wheels have the proper pressure. Usually inside your drivers door. When they are set right the light will go out. This is only a sensor. It does not set pressure by itself.

I'm pretty sure there is no guage directly reading the tire pressure. The car probably looks for two tires that spin at different rates. Do you have worn tires, maybe from bad alignment? If not, one of the speed sensors may be going out. You can probably clean it off with brake-cleaner.

Okay, here goes.... first things first, make sure all your tires have the proper air pressure. I will guarantee you that in your manual somewhere it tells you exactly how to reset this light!! Tire wear has nothing to do with your light... hope that helps!!

I'm having the same issue with my Olds Alero, and was told that there is a scensor either on the tire, or the wheel, and if it's taken off there isn't a way to get the lights to go off unless you replace it, but I could be completely wrong.
