I had the same problem. In order to even see the plastic surgeon in the first place, I had to have two referral letters, one from a chiropractor to say that the weight was bad for my back, and one from the gyno or family doctor. Then i had to meet with the plastic surgeon, who then sent my case in to the insurance company. I was denied, and appealed. They accepted the appeal, and covered the ENTIRE thing - $10,800. If you can at least get seen by somebody, you have a foot in the door. Most insurance companies will deny you the first time. They do this to weed out the people who don't really need it. If you appeal, and write them a letter as to why you need the surgery so badly, chances are they will help you out, because you have taken the time to fight back. I hope this helps, and best of luck!

Try to appeal with your insurance company. Have your doctor write a letter explaining how the need for a breast reduction is not for cosmetic purposes but to prevent back problems.

Breast Reduction surgery is very safe nowadays. My cousin got her breast reduction, tummy tuck and facelift surgery in India by the company called Forerunners Healthcare .The Price for the surgery she paid in India was very less. She paid 30% of the cost she was quoted in America.

Forerunners Healthcare is very famous in India. They arrange cosmetic and plastic surgery for foreigners in India. I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and about their patient stories. They arrange financing for USA, Canadian, UK and other international patients who plan to have surgery abroad for low price, as the breast reduction, tummy tuck, facelift and other cosmetic surgery is not covered by insurance. They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. There are huge cost savings. As a doctor I personally believe that surgery can be easily handled in India, as the quality of healthcare available In India is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star.

Hope this helps.

There are medical research labs all over the country that do experiemental surgeries and training for new recruits. You also might be able to get on the Discovery Channel and be a featured guest or a featured patient on one of their programs. I think in situations like that they absorb most of the medical costs in exchange for the rights to the story. So of course the camera man will have to videotape you while he is drawing all over your body with the crayon.

If your doctor (including a 2nd opinion) deems breast reduction surgery as medically necessary, your insurance has to cover it. If they've denied you, appeal.

Take pictures of those puppies and sell them.

You know, there are idiots that start web pages for stupid crap just to make money...

You could start a web page, have pics of yours up there, and ask for donations.
