No - Theres a difference between being mean and standing up for yourself. Women prefer nice guys who are not doormats, have self respect and stand up for themselves. Men who will not hand over their balls just because they are in a relationship.

No it doesn't work. After a while she gets fed up. The trick is not to treat her mean, but not to let her think you are a pushover. Women like men to be strong (whether they realise it or not) and if you are too clingy with a woman it shows as a sign of weakness, just like it does with women for men. Think about what qualities you admire in a woman. Do you prefer a woman who calls you up every hour of the day, tells you she loves you and sends you love notes every day, or do you prefer the one who seems a little more of a challenge, not so over-eager for all of your attention. Give any woman a healthy bit of space, and don't always be available when she calls. But treat her like a princess when you are with her

Subconsciously, yes. Ask a woman what shes looking for in a guy and she will say 'sense of humor, intelligence, sensitive, yadda yadda yadda yadda...'. But arent we women really attracted to those rebel-like mysterious guys?
When a woman starts to get a little disrespected (not returning calls, canceling dates, etc.) she begins to wonder why and then does what she can to make things better. She begins to wonder about herself and why the change. Im certainly not saying this is all women as Im not like this, but I think a lot or most, are.

it worked on me for a few years. but it really wasted my time and theirs... any man who treats me mean to keep me keen doesn't see any more of me after trying. I am finally interested in having a man sharing a mutual respect and friendship with me.
How the hell could I have children in the future with a man who I was always dealing with mean/keen drama? No freaking way. After experiencing men treating me in daily life with more care and love than I experienced in my typical past flings... I know I will never be one of those women..

Treating a girl mean can cut her to pieces... it can backfire on the guy, because it can make her keen (sharper)>>> by bringing her to the point that she gets fed up with it, wises up enough to not put up with it any more... & then use that keenness (sharpness) to cut HIM to pieces.

This 'game plan' / 'philosophy' does seem to work with some girls / women, particularly the so-called / apparent 'beautiful' ones ~ as well as the ones who love it, and the other ones who just don't like being 'dismissed.'

But BEWARE, within this 'game,' the tables can be turned.

I get bored too easily if a guy is soooo nice to me!
I like to be treated a little bit mean, just to be kept on my toes!

Not at all - some women like tough guys who treat them badly, but they don't normally want to settle down with them.
