I would say Darcy. With a line like; "You bewitched me body and soul", how could you not. I also pick Darcy because his actions are purely altruistic.

Besides, finding out my betrothed is still married to a crazy woman on my wedding day would definitely ruin my buzz.

I would have said Darcy. But then rereading Jane Eyre Rochester appealed more, there was more 'raw' passion in the book than in Pride and Prejudice (I just couldn't believe that Lizzy adored Darcy in the same sense that Jane does Rochester. Maybe because Jane's romantic feelings are described in so much more detail than Lizzy's, it makes us understand where she's coming from and how she can love him even though he's more of a flawed individual than Darcy). If i prefer Rochester does that mean i like a man to boss me around?!

Totally agree with the others. Mr Rochester's okay, but no-one can compare to Mr Darcy, especially if your version includes Colin Firth in a lake! I prefer his smooth style to Rochester's roughness, and I like guys who listen more to others and are less irascible than Rochester.

Definately a Mr Rochester, although the latest reincarnation does not quite live up to expectations

Rochester would be good for a fling, Darcy would be more sensible for a long term serious relationship.

I don't know really......they're both great! It's a kind of "boss or enemy" thing really isn't it? I'd probably go for Mr Darcy, especially when he's played by Colin Firth! :p
