Where can I find a list of classic books that everyone should read at some point?

Sorry, but I think such a thing is totally subjective. You know, one man's classic is another's waste of paper.

Good luck though.

Try penguin classics, or type 100 top books into yahoo search. I did, and I found several fantastic lists. Then just pick out the books you like the look of.

I would suggest going to your local large library and speaking with one of the librarians. They might have an in-house list already on hand.

My list includes
1. Shakespear's Macbeth and The Tempest
2. Charles Dickens: All
3. Mark Twain: All
4. Edgar Allen Poe: Tell tale heart
5. Bram Stoker
6. Alexandre Dumas: Count of Monte Cristo
and
Dave Pelzer's autobiography series.
1. A child called It
2. Lost Boy
3. A man named Dave

There are so many opinions on this subject that there are probably dozens more lists like this. Take them as guides, read what appeals to you, and then branch out on your own.
