My husband and I have 2 very good married friends...they have decided they're getting a divorce. How do you decide who to hang out with? We don't want it to be awkward! The divorce is the result of one being unfaithful, along with other things...but the affair has set my husband and I into a world of confusion!

Hands down, we know she is the one screwing around. Hang with the guy and offer him sex. He'll need help getting over this.

I have been going through the same thing for the past year, the wife still lives across the street from me. We made it plain in the beginning of the split, that we like both of them and we are not going to take sides, and if one or the other didn't like it they need to just get over it. I was very sad to see them break up. Our kids are friends with their kids so it had to be that way. Just tell them that. It has worked so far and we are all still friends. Now it is not even uncomfortable.

Why don't you two just be supportive
I am sure that they one that was cheating on is hurting at the moment if that one should want to talk you two should just listen
you don't need to take side nor interfer
you or your husband don't know what your future bring
just make sure that your work harder on your marriage so this problem won't happen to you

The best thing you can do is stay out of it. More than likely whether you want it to or not your friendships will dwendle out anyways. I think this happens because it is simpler. It is very hard when you are friends with both people.

You hang out with the woman, and he will hang out with the man. Problem solved. When your male friend wants to hang out at the bars to check out hot babes, your husband can be the designated driver. Your husband may at times want to check out the hot babes, but since he is married, he can't touch them.

From my own experience with divorce I never asked any of our friends to choose. I had a few close friends that were mine and not his. When I needed to vent etc I talked to them.

I would take a step back and allow them to deal with their situation. It might end the friendship because it will be hard to get together with them now...but do you really want to spend your time with one of them - and all they do is talk about their now ex? It may be time for all of you to move on.

Happened to me. You'll gravitate towards one and eventually fall out of contact with the other. Let it go. It'll take it's own course. You'll see.

Stay neutral and don't take sides. Sometimes it's best not to hear all the sordid details of who did what, who said what, etc.
