The smug proclamation that war is hell demonstrates the moral vacuity of those who defend the so called War on Terror in the name of civilization and human decency. To see Israel as an innocent attempting to live peacefully in a neighbourhood of thugs requires intellectual dishonesty and to claim that the Israelis had their backs to the wall and were forced into the destruction, measured beyond all proportion, of property and human beings in Lebanon and Gaza requires the moral lassitude inherent in imperial civilization.
Hezbollah did not exist before the 1982 Israeli invasion of Lebanon. The culprit then was the PLO, and then, as now, Israeli self-defence was the excuse behind a cynical attempt to destroy Palestinian nationalism and secure land for annexation in the West Bank.
Recently, there were two daring attacks against military targets and Israeli soldiers were captured by Hamas and Hezbollah. These attacks happened because Israel and its patron refused to accept the results of the Palestinian election.
Of course, before Hamas was elected, there was simply no partner for peace. Translation: There is no Palestinian leadership that will accept the injustice the Israelis want to impose.

Well, it's because the land now known as Israel was previously a part of the British ruled Ottoman Empire and was given to Israel as a homeland following the Holocaust.
At the time, there were no "Palestinians". It wasn't until years later, after Israel tried to appease their Arab neighbors by giving up over half of the territory given to the Israelis by the British, that some jackass decided to band together all of the disparate smaller tribes in the region, slap the label "Palestinian" on them (so it would appear to the uninformed that they are some sort of unified ethnic group) and start blowing up innocent people in order to call attention to their (unjust) cause.
In short, the Israelis are not the aggressors, they are defending themselves against neighboring countries that have openly declared their goal of making Israel cease to exist.

Maybe its because Palestinians openly attack the civilian Jewish populations with out remorse and its leaders do nothing to stop it. Maybe its because the aid for such violence comes from Iran who's president said the world should rid itself of Israel? Maybe if you opened your eyes just a little and saw things as these "right wing Israelis" you might recognize those Palestinians they abhorently treat are trying to KILL THEM

Why does Iran deny the Holocaust to justify their abhorrent intentions towards Israel?
Besides, abhorrent treatment is a 2 way street. Suicide bombers killing Israelis is far from humane.
