Jesuit-run colleges are often the best Catholic colleges.

Academically, Fairfield U is recognized as a very strong school, and degrees from Fairfield are widely respected.

How would it differ from a non-religiously affiliated university? In several ways:
The Religion department will offer Theology courses as well as Religion courses. It's possible you will have to take at least one Religion or Theology course in order to graduate.

Many of your instructors may be Catholic priests (members of the Society of Jesus, known as Jesuits). But they'll have the requisite PhD in whatever subject they teach, just like at any other university,

There may be only a small GLBT student association, and few GLBT resources on campus. There may also be no birth control resources available at campus health services. There may also be a ban on sororities and fraternities. And in general, there will be a higher Catholic population on campus than at many other non-religiously affiliated schools.

Best wishes to you, whatever you choose!

A Jesuit college would be run by the Society of Jesus (Jesuits) and are frequently fairly liberal theologically and socially of their coaching. The Society of Jesus is a non secular order in the Catholic Church. in case you like a extra conservative journey it rather is beneficial to inspect a Franciscan college like the only in Steubenville, Ohio. it rather is administered by the Catholic order of Franciscans. God bless! In Christ Fr. Joseph
