Poor gun nut. Most people don't want to take away all your guns. they do want to get rid of certain types that have no place in society. I own two guns of my own a 22 revolver for plinking and a M-1 carbine for hunting deer. I find this tiny arsenal takes care of all needs from home defense to hunting the only weapon I haven't got is a shotgun but I'm not into bird hunting. So if anyone is ignorant it is you completely unwilling to reevaluate your position is not enlightenment it stupidity. People do not need a Rambo style arsenal nor do they need to carry guns to guarantee there safety I wonder I you have the guts to look up how many fools go out buy a gun and then manage to shot themselves or a loved one or worse the kids get a hold of it. I know you'll say that's the owners problem and your right but it becomes my problem when said kid shoots my kid. Do I pull out my M-1 and cap you or do I force you to put locks on your guns and force you to put your guns in a safe place.

If you created your own category, how would that make the anti-gun people leave you alone? I would think the anti-gun people would bother you more as you would be advertising to them where you are posting your discussions! Kind of an ignorant idea...

There are gun forums on the 'net that you can join and discuss all sorts of firearm-related topics without being abused by the ignorant anti-gunners. Just do a search for "gun forum".

I absolutely enjoy using my various weapons for sport. I'm also very willing and capable of using them to defend myself, my family, or anyone else whose life is threatened by another. Guns don't cause violence, that comes from those who would be prone to violence with or without a weapon.

I don't condemn the anti-gun folks, but certainly would prefer them to observe both my right to free speech and to bear arms, as defined in the U S Constitution. I'm not violent unless provoked to it by extreme threat, and when the threat ceases, my violence does as well.

A category for gun friendly folks on Yahoo Answers? Nah, not necessary. It's fun to read what the virulent anti- folks have to say.

Are all pro-guns imbeciles? If no one had them, there wouldnt be a need for them. In 1948 the UN wrote the Declaration of Human Rights. It states that everyone has the right to life. Come on, I thought the point of procreation, other than mistake, self hatred and idiocy, was so that human kind could move forward. Where are we, in the stone age of human rights?

Okay....I'm done answering>>>>>
I think it would be a GREAT category because there is so much ground to cover on using, maintaining them...as well as abusing of them by criminals and the irresponsible.....
Constitutional right or not....People who are TOTALLY anti-gun, might as well be anti-germ and virus...Germs and viruses are an established part of the nature of our world and they are not going anywhere!...Like germs and viruses, handguns and rifles can be both good and bad, whether in complex interactions or specific instances.
Depending on who is using it, I personally believe a gun can be the weapon of a coward...one finger pull, and you instantly dispatch a person, taking EVERYTHING they have in life
--BUT, like that famous scene in Indiana Jones where Harrison is faced with an expert swordsman....Blam! , guns ALSO...VERY importantly function as a miraculous self-defense tool in this world of dangerous people. Oh yeh...Target shooting is fun for many enthusiasts...And guns can also be quite amazingly and beautifuly crafted works of machined art...
So...Guns? Hel yes...they are terrifying, and must ALWAYS be treated with massive RESPECT if you own and pack one for self-defense.....It's complicated. It's love-hate.... But aren't ALL the most important things in life and death?

One more thing...lol..
You could kill all the germs and viruses on earth by dumping a trillion tons of hand sanitizer on it, or irradiating the entire surface with gamma rays.....Were talking SIGNIFICANT collateral damage though!!! SO.....Try taking everyone's guns away by force all over the entire earth, and what follows would be all-out armegeddon!!! Bottom line, people....get used to guns and live with them.

Yes I like guns but having our own category would not help. Just go to the religion category and see how many atheists and agnostics post.

Absolutely not.... it is someone's right (if you are American) to bear arms.... I don't particularly like guns for myself, but if someone wants a gun more power to them - that's their choice -not mine to make for them. Anybody should have a right to express their opinion in any category regardless who agrees or disagrees

I understand and sympathise with the feelings of those who would like to see a disarmed world, but it is a naive and unrealistic vision. First, firearms are far too prevalant and easily manufactured to be irradicated completely. Secondly, victimization would continue. It would happen with edged weapons, sticks, rocks or bare hands if it came to it. Predatory criminals thrive in societies where the individual is unable to effectively defend themself. A gun is a tool, and like any other it can be used destructively or constructively. In the hands of responsible and well trained citizens, a firearm is a powerful tool to prevent the victimization of themselves and others.

I'm a military officer and I am for guns for one particular reason: we need to defend ourselves and our families. I don't give a damn if I have to put two caps in the back of someone's head in order to protect my wife and kids, or my parents, or my friends, or my dog or anyone that matters to me. We should carry weapons at all times and shoot criminals in the *** and leave them on the street.

The anti gun people don't know **** about the reality of life. I'll betcha 20 bucks that as soon as onw of those people's families gets killed by some crazy ************ on the street, then they'll be saying that we need to have guns everywhere.

It's every person's right to have guns, so if criminals have them why can't have them too?
