what a question... it was ran by england (uk) (britain) and they had people running the the land but it was really ran by england, but, he was on the other side of the world and didnt really know what was going on and who knows if his men were loyal?
im sure that usa had leaders of each thing when under english rule, but, i think that many of the leaders of usa were leaders before and after the revolution war....
the truth is, the usa was originally owned by "natvie americans" there were ancient native "americas" civilizations like the mayans and incans and there were advanced like old egypt or whatever... but we dont know what happened to the ancients maybe they lie about it... but there were native americans in usa first and the people from europe went to usa and took over and killed most of the natives. and thats where washington came from...
