The Moon does rotate. If you stood on the Moon, the stars would rise and set, just like they do on Earth, except that a lunar day is a month long, the same as the Moon's orbital period.

The moon does not rotate. It sits there dead still and
circles around the earth as if it were stuck on a pin.

10 MPH
Pi x D = C
3.1416 x 2,143 miles = 6,732 miles
Rotation = 1 in 28 days (672 hrs)
6,732 / 672 = 10
10 MPH
This would occur at the moon's equator
