In a single game yes. Will the A's take the series - no.

I really hope so. Right now, I'm shocked that the A's are down 2-0. I mean they're pitching is incredible. Barry Zito, Esteban Loiaza, Dan Harren, and Rich Harden (he was injured but WILL pitch in game 3). Also, although their offense isn't amazing they have some players who can hit one out. Frank "Big Hurt" Thomas has been wonderful this season, and I think he should have been comeback player of the year. I also think he will and should place fourth for the AL MVP. Milton Bradley has been excellent against the Tigers, and he hit 2 homers in game 2, and drove in like 4. Nick Swisher has some pop to add to the lineup too. I think they definitely could be up 2-0 or have it tied if Bobby Crosby and Mark Ellis weren't hurt. You could see the A's miss Ellis, when D'Angelo Jiminez (his replacement) made an error. Also Eric Chavez made like 3 errors and 1 play that was close to it. He's won so many Gold Gloves, I'm so surprised in his fielding.
The Tigers will make it very hard though, with Justin Verlander (he pitched last night), Kenny Rogers, and Jeremy Bonderman. Also Todd Jones isn't a bad closer. Brandon Inge and Curtis Granderson are two players you would not expect to lead the Tigers to the World Series, but they've been better against the A's than Ivan Rodriguez has! Also, Detroit has the next 3 at home.
So, it could happen, but both teams look good if you go through their rosters, but it will be hard with Detroits great pitching.
Hope that helps!

Go A's!!!!

All the experts said prior to this matchup that the Tigers would fall in 7 games. After taking a 2-0 lead at Oakland I think they might be starting to question themselves. The Tigers have had great pitching and are getting plenty of runs. I think Oakland might take one game in Detroit but the other two will go to the Tigers. I see the Tigers going to the World Series for the first time since 1984.

I think the A's might take 1 game in detroit, maybe!!! No, im not a fan of either team & am not hopping on no bandwagon either, but I honestly believe that the tigers will take it all this year, I had them going to the WS in the beginning of the playoffs against the Dodgers but unfortunately the Dodgers got swept (ouch) against the mets, so now I think it'll be the Mets vs Tigers with Tigers winning in 5 - 6 games!!! i just think that Tigers have all the momentum right now!!! Congrats to all the Tiger fans, the "real" tiger fans out there.

After dumping the powerhouse Yankess on the first, I believe that the Tigers has got the momentum this season and will go all the way to the World Series. I think this is their year and you can't deny the the Motown boys are playing good baseball and most of all, their greatest weapon is they play with their HEART so I think the A's has no chance for the Tigers in this series.

being down 3-0, the likelihood of the a's winning the next 4 is remote, but there is still hope...remember the lowly royals swept the tigers at the end of the season

Oakland might win 1 of the next 3.

But that is where I draw the line.
